SX MAX Euro 5w/40 SN/CF SYNTHETIC is a full synthetic stay-in-grade sophisticated full SAPS
lubricant intended for use in advanced design engines requiring lower viscosity startup and stronger
oils providing proven maximum engine performance and longer oil drain intervals.

SX MAX Euro 5w/40 SN/CF SYNTHETIC’s unique Salicyclate formulative strength additive, is
proven over 1 trillion kilometers, to reduce metal to metal contact across a range of different
driving speeds, lowering friction and maximising engine performance.

SX MAX Euro 5w/40 SN/CF SYNTHETIC full SAPS blend conforms to the high standards
required to achieve long engine life and less maintenance while maintaining excellent fuel
economy. It maintains excellent engine cleanliness, assisting engine management and pollution
control systems.

SX MAX Euro 5w/40 SN/CF SYNTHETIC is engineered with today’s latest full saps technology
additives and viscosity modifiers which have shown to decrease cam wear by up to 1/3rd of the
Acea limits in vehicles, reduce varnish on pistons, reduce oxidation & viscosity increase, as well
as sludge buildup,TBN loss and acid neutralisation in a variety of driving conditions.

Applications

SX MAX Euro 5w/40 SN/CF SYNTHETIC meets both European and American specifications for
lubrication of high performance engines particularly the latest high performance (super charged
& turbocharged) European car and light van diesel and petrol engines It is particularly suitable for
4, 6,& 8 cylinder turbo-compressed, multi-valve and direct injection engines (including VVT) which
operate with tighter tolerances and require a minimum high temperature high shear viscosity of
3.5mPa.s. While it is suitable for Catalytic converters it is not suitable for vehicles with Diesel
Particulate Filters (DPF) which require Acea C oils. It can also be used where GF-3/4/5 and
Acea A1/B1 & A5/B5 specifications are called for.
