COMPROIL HV4000 is a long life synthetic lubricant for HYDROVANE and other rotary vane compressors. This product is formulated from high quality base stocks and selected additives to provide superior thermal and oxidation stability resulting in reduced deposits and lessened explosion hazard. The low volatility of this synthetic lubricant compared with mineral oils results in lower consumption.
COMPROIL HV4000 exhibits very low coking tendency, good reclassification, foam separation and demulsibility properties. In addition to a high viscosity index, the anti-wear performance of this product is exceptional. Typical life expectancy in HYDROVANE compressors is 4000 hours and up to 8000 hours in rotary screw compressors.
In severe high air temperature, high load applications, COMPROIL HV4000 offers many cost saving benefits over conventional compressor oils. These include:

COMPROIL HV4000 is compatible with the seal materials, paints, plastics and metals that are commonly used in HYDROVANE compressors. Excessive swelling of certain types of seals used with petroleum
oils can occur. Some early HYDROVANES were fitted with neoprene seals. These should be changed to a compatible material prior to converting to COMPROIL HV4000.
COMPROIL HV4000 is compatible with common construction materials such as the following: Polyurethane, Chlorsuophonated Polyethylene, Nylon, Epoxy paint, Oil-resistant Alkyd.
Not Recommended – Neoprene, Polysulphide, Natural Rubber, Butyl Rubber, Low Nitrile Buna N, Buna S, EPM, EPDM, Acrylic paint, Lacquer, PVC, ABS, Polystyrene.

COMPROIL HV4000 is regarded as having low toxicity and is therefore unlikely to pose any toxic hazard to health or safety in normal use and the recommended application. It is, however, always advisable to observe good standards of industrial hygiene and to avoid prolonged skin contact.
